damn gulroth, i was never THAT hardcore of a gamer unfortunately. but i'll tip my hat to you on this one.
in SC most of my games were won/decided in the first 5-10 minutes where there was a lot of "advanced" micro (mostly unit placement/harassment since lower-tier units had no abilities) so it never got to the point of extreme macro management at the end-game. again, i was never pro, i never really followed the pros, i mostly played casually.
likewise, in WC3 a lot of my games rarely got to the point where advanced micro became important. i used a lot of harassment in the beginning of my games, and when it got to the base smashing time the game was pretty much decided. if i could pull my early-game strategies and tactics well, the endgame ended in a steamroll. but if i was forced into a pitched battle, they were very 50/50 because i admittedly suck at doing 30 things in a second.
i'm still figuring out the intricacies of each race so i haven't played bnet yet, but i'll see you there soon enough hopefully =]
and yes Mep, i did notice the blood elf chick dancing in the background. i'm enjoying this game of figuring out which WoW character voices they recast.

I've been slowing working my way through the campaign myself, and loving it. When I first saw the ingame cinematics, I was floored. Blizzard can do some damn impressive graphics when they put their minds to it. Biggest surprise by far had to be the arcade shooter in the bar, so much fun.

I still can't figure out which race I want to play. They're all fun in their own way.

damn, chugged through the whole campaign on hard mode (kind of weird, some stages are MUCH harder than others instead of having a linear increment as it went on) then got my ass handed to me on the last stage for an entire day before i was forced to dial it back to normal =\
